Mail Order Bride
Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future (alot of people don’t like this one, but it’s one of my favorites, especially with Danzig guest starring)
Super Computer
Super Birthday Snake (another fave, “You so freakin’ did!”)
Super Bowl
Super Hero

Super Squatter
Super Trivia
Broodwich
Meatzone
Universal Remonster
Total Recarl
Revenge of the Trees

With unprejudiced 10 more episodes after these 16, I wonder if they’ll include them with this status or wait to do 6 more–I don’t explore any more episodes on the horizon, and their last episode entitled “The Last One” kind of makes me skeptical, unless I’m fair missing the point, whatever.

Anyways, obtain this as soon as possible! It’s even more hilarious than the first area. And here’s hoping they acquire around to Region Ghost Volume 2 soon. Sealab 2021 Volume 1 is coming out the same time as ATHF2, so it’s possible SG is in the works.

I am dating myself woefully, but I remember seeing this film when it came out in theatres. I trekked some distance (via bus) down to some theatre in Hollywood (I’m from another fraction of L.A.) because it wasn’t showing anywhere nearby. I wanted to study it *that* terrible. And I certainly wasn’t disappointed.

When I finally got a DVD player, one of the first DVDs I got was “Local Hero”. It’s definitely on my “must-have” list.

The account is simple — materialistic Peter Reigert is sent to a petite Scottish village to try to negotiate a land deal for his rich, eccentric boss (Burt Lancaster, who is outstanding) . He arrives in Scotland as a guy who is only obsessed with business deals, his car, and his posessions assist in Texas, but soon he learns there are more critical things in life. The townsfolk are absolutely improbable, all in their beget new, eclectic procedure. Denis Lawson particularly shines as “jack of all trades” who holds several positions in the community, including innkeeper.

The oddness and beauty of this film takes time to unfold, and it is best objective to sit encourage and see it happen. Everyone seems to have a myth, everyone is eccentric in some device. I especially loved Burt Lancaster and his interaction with his “therapist”, who takes the job *far* too seriously. Lancaster plays one of the most likeable and original characters onscreen. Reigert too, is endearing. He so wants to be “normal” that he can’t even admit that he might utilize a shampoo for dry or greasy hair. “Normal. EXTRA normal.”, he says, when asked what kind of shampoo he needs. What an uptight guy he seems at first, but he soon mends his ways.

The obtain by Price Knopfler is among one of my favorites too. I can play it and it brings wait on the whole atmosphere and mood of this film. The musical portion played at the demolish of the movie is heart-wrenching and brings support the sweetness of the slay of this splendid movie every time I hear it.

Director Bill Forsythe created an absolute gem in this movie. A must-have in *every* film collection. Absolutely advantageous.

Knox Oil rules Houston. The Knox headquarters tower over the Houston skyline, and KNOX radio brings Houston its weather and traffic picture. Knox Oil is owned by Felix Happer (Burt Lancaster), whose father bought the company from its Scottish-born founder; but unfortunately neglected to change the name to “Happer Oil.” Now Knox Oil needs to accumulate a site for a refinery in Scotland, and the most appropriate location happens to be a village called Furness, far up on the Northern Scottish wing. And the Knox people don’t steal no prisoners – they determine to simply go ahead and win the whole village. The man they’re sending to Scotland to negotiate is Mac MacIntyre (Peter Riegert), whose presumably Scottish roots are going to perform it easy for him to bond with the locals and discontinuance the deal (actually, his family is from Hungary and changed their names to MacIntyre because “they concept that’s America”) .

Reluctantly Mac takes off (he would distinguished have preferred to handle the matter over the wires), bringing an electrically locked briefcase, a observe beeping a signal for “conference time in Houston,” pictures of his Porsche 930 (“I got migraine headaches when I was detached driving a Chevy”) and the tough-nosed, textbook negotiating skills of a Texas oil man. He is not very impressed with the backwater ways of Furness at first – although he does instantly glance that there’s “a lotta landscape here.” But slowly and inexorably, his attitude changes. Walking along the beach, his steps grow longer and slower, more contemplative. He starts to get shells. His business suit makes plot for a woolen sweater. And his treasured gaze dies a dumb death as it tries to signal “conference time in Houston” one last time from its underwater grave. Instead of rapid closing the deal and leaving again, Mac has let the set fetch to him. And he is beginning to regret what this deal is going to mean for this set – nothing other than its total destruction. It will consume a surprise visit from Felix Happer himself, prompted not by Mac’s reports on the progress of the deal but rather, by his descriptions of the wonders of the Scottish nighttime sky, to bring about a decisive turn of events. For Happer’s lawful esteem is not the oil business but astronomy; and before Mac left, Happer has charged him with the search for a comet because “the constellation of Virgo is very prominent in the sky good now in Scotland,” wherefore Mac needs to “withhold an gape on Virgo,” to attend Happer realize his lifelong dream, the discovery of “Happer’s Comet.” (“You do know what a comet is? ” the tycoon asks, impartial to get distinct. “I feel clear I’d know one if I saw one,” a slightly flabbergasted Mac replies.)

“Local Hero” is one of those movies that buy you not because of the intricacies of their position lines – the record moves along at a languid accelerate, almost tricking you into believing that there is no region to hiss of at all – nor does it require its participants to indicate acting skills, Hollywood style. It does, however, require them to be human; no silver camouflage champions but everyday heroes: “local” heroes, that is; the guys next door, ordinary people. There is, for example, Gordon Urquhart (Denis Lawson), the village’s innkeeper, accountant and general spokesperson who, while negotiating a tough deal on behalf of the village population, also hosts Mac and, by introducing him to the “local ways,” inevitably has a tall hand in changing Mac’s attitude. There is Danny Oldsen (Peter Capaldi), Mac’s Knox Oil companion from Aberdeen, who falls in appreciate with a local marine biologist (Jenny Seagrove) with her acquire designs for Furness Bay, which have nothing to do with a refinery and everything with the bay’s preservation. There is Viktor (Christopher Rozycki), a fisherman from Murmansk who has discovered capitalism on the remote Scottish North Sea shores and routinely stops by to visit his friends there and check in on the investments Gordon Urquhart has made for him. There is Reverend Macpherson (Gyearbuor Asante), who despite his last name is about as Scottish as the Lone Star in the Texas flag, but whose erstwhile presumably African accent, after years of living in Furness, has nevertheless taken an unmistakably Scottish tinge. And there is the local villagefolk; wily, earthbound, unpretentious and hard working, nevertheless almost over-eager to cash in; and far from stubbornly clinging to their roots, soon finding themselves discussing the relative merits of a Rolls Royce and a Maserrati (measured by the cars’ respective utility in transporting sheep) and musing that “it ain’t easy being rich.” Except, that is, for Ben Knox (!) (Fulton Mackay), who owns an principal portion of the beach and who will not give up the land given to an ancestor of his by the king himself for “turning a thing for him” (killing the king’s brother) centuries ago; not even for the promise of a couple of miles of pristine beach in Hawaii.

The movie’s dialogue is as unpretentious and understated as it is witty – Glasgow-born director Bill Forsyth was responsible for the script, too, and it shows. But the film’s single most outstanding feature is nature itself; the rugged cliffs, endless and ever-changing skies, windswept, forlorn beaches and stormy sea of Scotland’s northern sail. And the brooding, sorrowful mood of those beaches, cliffs, misty glens and mountains is perfectly captured by the music unruffled by another son of Scotland, Sign Knopfler (like Forsyth born in Glasgow), whose very first film come by remains one of his most poignant and best-known to date – there probably isn’t a Knopfler fan out there who doesn’t instantly seek the movie’s theme song “Going Home,” even if he has never seen the movie itself. “Local Hero” is Forsyth’s and Knopfler’s declaration of appreciate to their native land; a humble, evocative appeal for its preservation which merits every bit of attention it has (belatedly) received.

This is one unbelievable movie. No, you don’t have to be familiar with the series to like it, but the familiarity will invent several moments in the movie that mighty more tragic. The action here is extraordinary, and unlike several of the Star Lag movies, the characters don’t deviate from their series personnas. The emotional impact of several scenes is so intense it was hard to halt seated (a atomize landing sequence can almost give you motion sickness) . This brings a satisfying extinguish to the storyline the unique series had started. It’s a shame the point to never got to sing this myth in its entirety. You can look where some parts of the movie are rushed in a design. Something that could have been stretched over weeks in a series had to be handled in minutes, and that robs it a petite. But you have to applaud Whedon for being able to tie up all the loose ends he started with unbiased two hours. Shame on the network for cancelling this, but congratulations to Whedon for giving the fans–both venerable and new–the ending the reveal deserved. Heroes will shine, and some will topple, but Serenity will live on.

Now bring the reveal relieve!

It wasn’t yelp to happen like this…

Back in the summer of 2001, Fox announced that “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” mastermind Joss Whedon would be creating a current television reveal that was a outrageous between Science Fiction and the Western Genres… For months Fox spent millions of dollars promoting the one “clear fire series of the season” but then the problems started… the pilot was too tedious, Executive Heads Clashed, and Baseball season all got mixed into the mixing pot… and in the slay fans where left with an out of order, mixed up, story of identitify (which is ironic if you deem about it) .

Buy,Download, Or Stream Serenity! Click Here

But the fans of Joss Whedon and of the character he creates would not let this be the extinguish of the “firefly” universe, and after great fanfare, petitions, and literal Bitching; Universal Pictures did something rather uprecidented: they green lite a “big-screen’ movie which Joss Whedon describes as “a thank you to the fans.”

And that is exactly what the film version of “Serenity” is. On the exterior it is a fast-past, character driven, science fiction blast for everyone to like, and the people that did gape it did indulge in it alot. It has survived over a month on IMDB’s Top 250 Movies of All Tilme List, and has recieved attractive reviews from THE Unique YORK TIMES, EBERT & ROBERT, THE SAN FRANSISCO Epic, and more… I distinctly remember a quote from the Original york Times saying “George Lucas eat your heart out.”

But on the interior the movie was about the salvation of people, and it was a political commentary on ample brotherism, and how if things in our society today support going down the same road are future generations won’t be worthy different from mal and zoe.

If your a fan of science-fiction or objective valid storytelling this is a movie for you.

I read the book many years ago in 6th grade and it is detached one of my all-time favorites. Unfortunately, it is out of print and very hard to rep, even in Australia. This movie follows the main sage line of the book, but from a more human viewpoint. It chronicles the writing of the book with scenes of the author, Elyne Mitchell, and her daughter interspersed with the scenes of the myth and the horses it chronicles. I would have preferred to have more of the horse narrative and less of the human one (hence the 4 star rating.) If you liked “The Man from Snowy River”, also based on the book by Elyne Mitchell, or fair like to search for delicate horses running through elegant scenery, you’ll esteem this one.

Based on the book “The Silver Brumby” by Elyne Mitchell, “The Silver Stallion” opens during a storm, with a mother composing a yarn to comfort her daughter, Indi. She tells of the birth of Thowra, a palomino brumby in the high country of Australia’s outback, named after the wind. As Thowra grows into a glowing young stallion, he catches the attention of local ranchers, intent on capturing the beautifully-colored horse. One man in particular (played by a young Russell Crowe), becomes obsessed with the hunt. But the more intent he is on catching the stallion, the more maddeningly cunning and elusive Thowra becomes.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Silver Stallion! Click Here

The film switches serve and forth between the anecdote of Indi and her mother, and the sage of Thowra himself, with Indi’s mother narrating. Eventually we acquire that the two stories are more interconnected than they seem at first. Unfortunately, neither memoir has a very strong plotline. Crowe’s character’s pursuit of Thowra can be boiled down to a series of roam scenes, punctuated by rivalry between stallions of neighboring brumby herds, while the action between Indi and her mother consists of the girl continuously pestering her mother to explain the next chapter, with a seemingly unrelated side-story about an injured wallaby thrown in for splendid measure.

As other reviewers have pointed out, this is not “The Man From Snowy River.” The horses are anthropomorphized a bit too noteworthy for my tastes, and the acting tends toward cheesiness at times, though not so worthy as to be wonderful. The soundtrack – often taking on a chanting quality that grows more intense as each slither scene progresses – is rather melodramatic, occasionally even disturbing by its overbearing nature. Nevertheless, while this film fails to really label me as an adult, I’m blooming positive I would have loved it as a child. The horses are graceful, and the theme of a cunning animal hero consistently outwitting the “unpleasant guys” is objective what most children will worship.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Silver Stallion! Click Here

The DVD itself, unfortunately, leaves great to be desired. The movie is presented only in fullscreen format, and though the cinematography and report quality themselves are not top quality, the shots of the Australian high country would have been worthy more breathtaking in a widescreen presentation. There are also no special features whatsoever. In summation, I’d recommend this film primarily to families with younger children, especially those that care for horses. Children will likely salvage the epic keen and the horses endearing. But even at a mere 93 minutes in length, it doesn’t offer considerable to absorb the attention of adult viewers.

Sequals are rarely successful, but this film proves the exception. It is at least as qualified and in some ways better than the modern “Prancer”. It is a really nice holiday myth that should please both children and adults. Yes, it is a fantasy, but one grounded in reality which makes it the best kind of make-believe. From the opening, the viewer knows what the results will be. It is determined who the divorced mother will raze up with, the reindeer will actually be one of Santa’s and the poor person will bag his objective dues, but the contrivance the events unfold originate it a really savory epic. The characters are right to life with beneficial preformances from the children. This could become a Christmas classic.

Hats off to John Corbett, Stacy Edwards, Michael O’Keefe, Jack Palance and the Producers of Prancer returns. We’ve enjoyed Prancer for so many years and were so indignant to leer “Prancer Returns” reach out. Again, the movie has taken “every day” people, has placed them in “every day” life situations and has created a masterpiece filled with Christmas magic. A fantastic movie for everyone in the family. A must gawk!
