You have to realize two things to relish this movie.

PG-13 films are typically not for children. Parents seem to deem objective because its sharp means “hey select the kids.” Well how about we assume a small BEFORE we go running to the theatre? Complains about that are objective deceptive. The rating says it all, PAY ATTENTION.

The second thing you must realize is that this is an ADAM SANDLER movie, like his earlier films. Billy Madison, Cheerful Gilmore, all rude and shameful, accumulate over it. That was his style and he brought it benefit to obtain one of the funniest adult involving movies ever. The jokes here are classic, from whiteys seizures to him doing the robot in the middle of a basketball game. His sister eleanor has the cutest disclose which I’ve been imitating ever since I saw the movie. The townsfolk are a bellow, with choose schneider as an asian waiter. and jon lovitz as a man with a hook for a hand. This is a very unconventional Hannukah movie for the holidays. Definite it’s despicable, but if your offended than go rent the Ya Ya Sisterhood or some crap like that. This one is for the guys, not for parents or children. Next time read the rating before you complain. Don’t beget all the crap, this movie was HILARIOUS. If you like Kevin Smith movies or Adam sandler movies than observe this and bust a gut laughing. (hopefully not literally)

I really enjoyed this movie. Unlike The Wedding Singer, the humor was a bit more locker room gross-out, but like the Wedding Singer, it was filled with sentiment and heart. An mad Scrooge-like Jewish man learns to grieve, let go, and fancy the holidays again. No, it’s not for limited kids. That’s why it’s rated PG-13. Sandler shows tall talent and versatility as the voices of Davy, Eleanor and Whitey, the latter two being annoying elderly fraternal twins whom Davy grows to appreciate despite their freakishness. Win Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Kevin Nieland add their talent, as well as cameos by Tyra Banks and rock singer Ann Wilson as Davy’s mom. Alison Krauss lends her sweetness as the singing express of Jennifer, Davy’s childhood adore, now a single mom. The music is the most outstanding piece of this film. The lyrics are funny and goofy, but also clever, and the song structures are dynamic and hooky, and will stop with you afterward. If you go into this movie realizing it’s not a white-washed Disney flick for the kids, but it’s a laughable, sometimes contemptible, but sensitive Christmas record that tackles somewhat-adult issues, like why some people disapprove the holidays, I consider you’ll indulge in it almost as noteworthy as I did. It’s also loaded with special features that are worthwhile, too.

first, i mostly peer only chinese movies (about 99% of the time) . so grudgingly i borrowed this movie from my brother to perceive when i secure bored. it’s a capable thing i wasn’t expecting anything out of it.

about 10 minutes into it, i was riveted. the actions (fight scenes) were very solid and the casts were mammoth! i was unprejudiced going “wow!” whenever the characters fight. it was that superb! everyone fought like they all learned martial arts when they were born which makes those scenes that grand more convincing!

pay attention to the lead actress; for such a skinny gal, she positive fought with surprising agility and strength. she really impressed me!

the situation, action and storyline perambulate nicely together. quality of the film is very evident as the anecdote unfolds – everything looked apt. if you are a martial arts fan or unbiased esteem kung fu or action movies, this will leave you overjoyed. the fable is snappy paced so you won’t accept a chance to earn bored! :D

pick this up (especially the current special release by dragon dynasty) and you’ll have a grand (action) movie on hand! i know i will!

I first saw this movie at the film festival in LA after overhearing a lot of agreeable reviews from people who saw this film at the previous film festival.

First, you don’t really examine anything from the movie made in Vietnam. I’ve never paid attention to films made in Vietnam. So when I heard that this film was made in Vietnam and it’s action movie. I was expecting to be cheap Hong Kong style cinema.

Well, I was immoral.

Good place. Helpful chronicle. And astounding action sequence throughout the movie, including a lot of explosions!

If you like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon…. although the narrative takes position in 1920… you MUST view this film.

Most politically charged films focus on corruption at the higher levels of spot, but STREET FIGHT gives us a curb-side idea of something noteworthy smaller …and noteworthy more notable.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Street Fight: A Film by Marshall Curry! Click Here

The 2002 Newark, Current Jersey Mayoral bustle is something most voters in the U.S. could care less about. Why should someone in, say, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania pay attention to Newark’s voting issues? Or someone in Fort Worth, Texas? Or San Francisco, California? Realistically, none of them would. But Newark is Unique Jersey’s most populated city, and those in San Francisco and beyond might want to select a peak at what’s happening to our democracy on a pseudo-microcosmic level.

The film’s principal focus is on Cory Booker, a Newark city councilman with his discover on the mayor’s office. He’s a Stanford and Yale graduate who lives in a slum within Newark. He’s an idealist who’s grown tired of his city’s terrible schools, poorer neighborhoods, and rising jobless rate. To fetch into the mayor’s office, though, he’ll have to unseat four-time incumbent Sharpe James, a man who’s firmly entrenched within Newark’s politics.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Street Fight: A Film by Marshall Curry! Click Here

We peek as writer/director/photographer Marshall Curry seeks to interview both sides of the accelerate, first by checking in on Cory Booker’s campaign, then by trying (in vain) to meet up with Sharpe James and his people. But once James’ campaign personnel learn that Curry interviewed Booker already, he is immediately shunned and pushed aside (often in a very rough manner) . Curry’s camera is pushed around time and again, his microphone broken, and he’s denied access to Sharpe James entirely. Even when Curry catches up with James at a public event, he’s manhandled by Sharpe James’ `brute squad.’ Most will bag this very unsettling, as this is a publicly elected figure in a public spot who is, in essence, acting like a thug.

That we never touch on the political issues surrounding the campaign is enchanting and absurd. These are both sure aspects of the film. It shows us how itsy-bitsy our democracy means in many instances; it isn’t the terrible schools/neighborhoods/jobs that dominate voters’ discussions, but who’s “more republican” or “more sad” (both candidates are sad) or “campaign has more money” or “has visited a strip joint”.

In the destroy, we contemplate Sharpe James spend every slimy tactic at his disposal in order to collect votes (including bringing in paid James’ supporters from out-of-state to benefit bolster encourage on election day) . Booker doesn’t bag the election, thus giving the viewer a very negative idea of Recent Jersey politics. But all is not gloom and doom.

In 2006, Cory Booker returned to the mayoral bustle and took Newark by storm. Sharpe James uncharacteristically dropped from the hasten for unknown reasons while a fresh runner took up site against Booker, only to be squashed in the largest landslide collect of any mayoral hasten in Fresh Jersey history.

But the bitter taste of the 2002 accelerate calm lingers in audiences minds after watching Street Fight. It’s a tough film to leer, because we all want to own that our democracy is flawless when, in fact, it has so many problems and shady dealings as to form one ill at the prospect.

Q: Why should anyone west of the Delaware River care about the Newark, NJ mayoral hurry of 2002? A: For me, this was an edge-of-the-seat suspenser that wouldn’t let go long enough to let me assume a phone call. If you don’t know how it ends, gaze it for the cliffhanging legend it tells. For anyone else, this compact petite documentary should be seen for its relentless journalistic energy. As American politics becomes more and more dominated by terror tactics, the corporate-owned news organizations have abdicated their duties as the Fourth Estate of our republic, leaving independents like Marshall Curry to purchase up the mantle. STREET FIGHT compares favorably with the classic MEDIUM Chilly, and entertains like a latter-day version of THE CANDIDATE.

We survey Sharpe James, a six-term incumbent, try every dirty trick in the book to possess on to his office: he threatens business closures for those who keep rival Cory Booker’s impress in their windows; he smears the Booker campaign with bogus sex scandals; he even uses the fact that out of the two African American candidates, Booker is less “proper” for having lighter skin than his. Both sides wrangle for endorsements, meet with community groups, and hump every dollar not nailed down. The kind of befriend room manipulations musty by James would seem highly fabulous in a fictional film. Although it may rob site in a different city, this documentary is the perfect companion portion to Season Three of THE WIRE. The similarities between the two political environments is uncanny.

Booker himself, 32 years worn at the time of the bustle, is all forward momentum. Barak Obama is clearly not the only young politician who threatens to breathe some life into our dying democracy. On the eve of the election, a child who has unprejudiced touched Booker tells Curry, off camera, to smell her hands. “Why, does he have a smell? ” “Yes,” says the girl. “He smells like the future.”

Gone fishing is a luscious movie that the whole family can luxuriate in.Joe Pescie and Danny Glover are content a worthy shipshape [no immoral language] film that reminds me of the fun times when I went fishing…

You’ll either despise it or like it. Grand cast of stars including a cameo by Willie Nelson (representing the would-be spirit of all flit fishermen) . The Uninteresting and dumber movie of the fly-fishing world. VERY amusing and a wonderful family flick. Some reused stunts but a lot of creative ones too. A precise proper spoof on those that would rather fish than anything else. Don’t pay attention to those negative reviews – check it out for yourself. A sleeper of a comedy. Waiting for the DVD version with reduce scenes.
