This is a fantastic introduction to Qigong for beginners. I bought the video on the recommendations of the reviewers here and have not been disappointed. Plus it is a very reasonable cost compared to the other options.

Dr. Yang gives very positive and concise explanations of the theory leisurely the poses. The exercises are simple to do. I have started with the sitting exercises and am doing them morning and night the past few days.

I suffer from chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia and bought this to improve the energy lag in my body. I have been feeling very worn lately due to lack of sleep and stress and found that the poses gave me immediate wait on by taking a layer of hurt off my body. I am sleeping better too. I will check succor in 3 months to update the benefits.

Also it became determined to me from watching the DVD that the problems I am having are energy problems. After doing the exercises I could feel the chi flowing in parts of my body that have been blocked — namely my feet and arms. I also noticed that my kidneys are extremely sore and probably depleted. I was unnerved. These exercises made me more aware of what is really going on in my body.

The sitting exercises are big for those who need to rob it wearisome. To the senior gentleman who was upset that Dr. Yang didn’t go into modifications. Yes, you are fair, but you needn’t disaster if you can’t stretch all the scheme to your toes. Unprejudiced stretch as far forward as you can comfortably do. He also says in his analysis that the repetitions are guidelines — and to do what you can.

A huge DVD. I can’t wait to peek how I’m feeling in a few months. The DVD made me realize that I need to renergize my kidney’s and I am buying herbal tea and herbs to attend in that process. I for one am tired of expend that pushes the body past it’s limits. This position of poses works with the body that you have now!

I can only add to the other rave reviews.

I have tried other qigong videos, but this is the best one.

The explanations are sure, and the quality of the DVD is qualified. There is no distracting background or recent age gobbledigook. You can procure a honorable workout in 20 minutes regardless of your age or physical condition.

Well worth buying.

Ice Age: The Stout Chill was very reliable and inviting. Unbiased seen The Meltdown and was thoroughly entertained. Hollywood finally attach something out that didn’t have a bunch of sex, blood and gore. Extraordinary one liners and originality in this. The QUEEN did an outstanding job, and Ray fair made it all the better. This would be one for the DVD Library for obvious. Kids AND adults both had a expansive time. Thank you Hollywood for finally having something that was fun.

We went to scrutinize Ice Age 2 the day it came out, which generally guarantees an fervent and rowdy crowd. Everyone there was laughing and clapping throughout.

Manny (Romano), Diego (Leary), and Syd (Leguizomo) are befriend. They’ve turned the heavily iced dwelling into a camp for kids complete with ice slides and wading pools. But a vulture called Like A Flash Tony (cameo by Jay Leno) warns everyone that the ice is melting and soon their valley will be flooded. So once again, everyone must migrate, fleeing to safer and higher ground. On the plot, they meet 3 current friends: two opposums named Rupture and Eddie (Sean Scott Williams and Josh Peck), and their “sister”- a spacious named Ellie (Queen Latifah) who doesn’t know she’s a spacious. Collectively, they continue on their migration. Syd and Diego try to convince Manny that Ellie can succor him sustain mammoths from going archaic, and a possible realtionship begins. But flood waters, homely water creatures, and Ellie’s massive identity crisis stumble them a bit along they method. Syd finds respect and reassurance from a secret tribe of sloth’s that revere him as the “Fire God”. But it’s Scrat, everyone’s approved neurotic squirrel, that’s the suitable star of this movie. My kids, and those all around us, laughed their heads off whenever Scrat’s crazy acorn antics were on shroud. My [...] weak asked me today, “Can we go notice Ice Age 2 again? “. He didn’t even say that after seeing “Provocative George”! Fun for the whole family.

I was heavenly angry to accelerate out and bewitch these DVDs at last, but mostly I was enraged to finally peep Tooter the Turtle once again. I was enraged that is until I got them home and started viewing them, I was really disapointed when it came to the Tooter segment that it fair starts….no intro, oh well i could live with this….then came the ending, oh! my most popular section was coming up… you know the portion where tooter cries for Mr Wizard to bring him succor home, anticipation….Tooter spins in the vortex…then Mr Wizard says “Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome; time for zis one to arrive home”….oh boy!! here it comes!!!……then nothing. It ends fair there, abruptly. My celebrated fraction where Mr Wizard scolds Tooter and tells him “Always Always I voice you Tooter, Be unprejudiced vhat you is, not vhat you is not. Folks vhat do zis are ze happiest lot.” is gone. I really dislike to split hairs but it makes this grown up kid feel cheated . Stutter. Huh? What? The rest of the Dvd you ask? eh, its ok i guess……(shuffles feet, while looking down at the ground)

I have mixed feelings about these unusual Underdog DVDs (this one, The Ultimate Underdog Collection Volume 1 and The Ultimate Underdog Collection Volume 3) . On one hand, I contemplate the cartoons here are substantial for kids. Originally airing on 1960s television, the Underdog serials have fair enough sarcasm (“Leer! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a frog!) to bewitch even the most jaded child, and the show’s additional cartoons include not fair Tennessee Tuxedo, but the mammoth Tooter Turtle and World of Commander McBragg. (Others include the King and Odie, Klondike Kat, Go Go Gophers and The Hunter.)

That said, whoever place together this status apparently has no appreciation for its contents. The shows on this disk are edited! Not for anything engaging or racist (this was ’60s television, after all) but honest because someone is apparently too greedy, or too indolent, to teach what they promise. Despite the fact that these were 30-minute television shows, on this disk each Underdog explain — which has two ‘dog episodes and two additional cartoons — runs only 19 minutes.

Worse, the cuts are done with the subtlety of a meat clever. For example, in the Tooter Turtle shorts, after Mr. Wizard says “Drizzle, drazzle, druzzle, drome, time for this one to reach home”… the cartoon ends! As another reviewer points out, that’s NOT the extinguish!

As for the Underdog stories on this particular “Volume 2″ DVD, when Riff-Raff plans to pick the gold out of Fort Knox in 1964’s “The Tremendous Gold Robbery,” he also captures Sweet Polly Purebred. Underdog and Polly battle vicious rats when they obtain shrunk by dreadful guy Simon Bar Nefarious in 1964’s “The Tremendous Shrink.” Finally, when aliens invade Earth and turn everyone into their slaves in the 1966 serial “The Marbleheads,” Shoeshine Boy eventually finds a draw to turn himself into Underdog and build the day.

I gave this situation four stars because of my fondness for Underdog, Tooter and Commander McBragg. But if you steal it, be prepared to be at least a shrimp frustrated.

I’ve avoided this movie for the longest time because Demi Moore was in it. Isn’t that droll? Even though I’ve enjoyed many of her movies, I unprejudiced couldn’t absorb that a movie this principal with her in it would receive the historic treatment it deserved. I could not have been more unsuitable. I was deeply engrossed from the first scene, and could not fling myself away. Demi herself is fantastic, but the screenplay and the scenery, the production and the details pulled me moral into the record and would not let me go until the very last scene — and I absolutely loved the ending! This is an wonderful work of art — and I’m joyful I finally had a chance to survey it. Once I had, I knew I had to add it to my library — a collection of what I deem to be only the best representations of our culture and our history.

There’s a disclaimer which flashes on the mask at the beginning of this 1995 film. It says it is “freely adapted from the unique” by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Then it goes on to advise the renowned epic through the eyes of twentieth century feminism, sexual freedom and politically legal tickled endings. I must admit I never did read the book, but I’ve long been aware of the general status, dwelling in 1666, of an adulteress forced to wear the scarlet letter “A”.

Demi Moore is cast as Hester Pryne, the adulteress, and we all know what’s going to happen to her. She’s been sent to America to set a home; her husband is supposed to be following soon. She shocks the respectable people of the Massachusetts Bay Colony when she insists on living alone, with the succor of a couple of bondsmen and a female murky slave. I doubt if Hawthorne’s book then had the local minister, played by Gary Oldman, do a microscopic nude swimming on Hester’s property. I also doubt that Hawthorne had her peeking, getting furious and sensuously soaking in a bathtub, displaying her have nude body and thinking about the pastor. The couple screech their treasure for each other but it is only after they deem her husband unimaginative that they consummate their relationship. Her pregnancy is a crime and she spends the last six months of her confinement in a despicable prison. Then she is forced to wear the scarlet letter and is shunned by all. She refuses to name her lover, and so Oldman sulks around town, looking guilty but keeping his mouth shut. This is a colossal role for any actress, but Demi Moore unprejudiced can’t handle it. She might have a nice body but the expression on her face seems to be frozen, incapable of the subtleties, passion and despair that the role calls for. Gary Oldman is slightly better, but his portrayal of the weakling pastor is also one-dimensional.

The film is saved, however, by the role of Robert Duvall, who appears slow, but yet steals the demonstrate with his impassioned portrayal of the wronged husband crooked on revenge. He dominates every scene he’s in and a single expression on his face tells more about his character than the combined performances of the rest of the entire cast. The anecdote is a noble one, and it moved snappy enough to contain my interest, especially since there were some action scenes added that Hawthorne had probably never intended. That’s why I can’t recommend it unless you’re willing to impartial relax and peruse a well-plotted historical romance with mediocre acting.

Meanwhile, a wrathful scientist named Victor (Christopher Lee) and Letha (Bette Davis) talk about how they should be making money. Letha was once a very rich woman but funded Victor’s laboratory in order manipulate people and control them. Victor decides to establish Letha’s nephew Sickle (Anthony James) to a test by using a remote control diagram in which Victor talks on it and the person will follow his instructions. His first instruction is to have Sickle climb up a mammoth building and toddle on the rooftop ledge and seeing how the remote control plan is actually working on him.

Meanwhile, as Tony and Tia are being driven in their cab, the cab loses fuel prompting the taxi cab driver to accumulate gas. While left alone, Tia’s premonitions begin kicking in to chubby gear as she senses a man who will topple to his death from falling from a building.

Knowing that they one would have to wait for the driver, Tony goes to secure this man and warn him. Sickle ends up falling from the rooftop but before he can go splat on the pavement, Tony uses his supernatural abilities to have him suspended in air and eventually support him down.

Victor sees that Tony is quite special and thus Victor and Letha inject John with a tranquilizer and kidnaps him.

Tia is jumpy that she has lost contact with Tony and goes to contemplate for him. She ends up losing him and while trying to peek around the station, she sees four kids being chased by a bunch of thugs. She eventually uses her power to set aside the four kids named Dazzler (Christian Juttner), Muscles (Brad Savage), Crusher (Poindexter Yothers) and Rocky (Jeffrey Jacquet) .

The four are trying to be tough kids who want to originate their have gang but also mask from their truant officer Mr. Yokomoto (Jack Soo) who wants them assist at school.

With no position to go and not sparkling the Los Angeles position, the kids choose to support Tia. Meanwhile, Tony has been thoroughly brainwashed by Victor and is now being controlled by him by the remote blueprint.

With Tony revealing his power to the awful guys, now they want to exploit his power to give them leverage and possibly aid them choose anything from gold to possible plutonium.

Meanwhile, Tia tries to search for her brother everywhere and when she does gain him, she is pitted against her brother in a battle of their dapper powers. Will she be able to set her brother from being a pawn of Victor and Letha?

SPECIAL FEATURES:

“RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN” includes several special features. Many which were included in the 2003 DVD release but there is one special feature that is uncommon to the 2009 DVD release. Included are:

* ALL Modern Pop-Up Fun Facts – For those who want to survey the film with fun facts popping up on the bottom of the hide.

* Making the Return Hump – A graceful lengthy featurette with interviews with director John Hough, Ike Eisenmann, Kim Richards and the other children from the film. The discussion was how they all came together again, the popularity of the first film and how Ike and Kim, unlike the first film where they worked closely together, this time they didn’t. But what is most involving was to hear how the guys had a crush on Kim Richards.

* The Gang’s Aid in Town – A reunion of the gang Christian Juttner (Dazzler), Brad Savage (Muscles) and Poindexter Yothers (Crusher) who talk about having fun on the spot, having a crush on Kim Richards and how the film was one of the best experiences of their lives.

* Disney Kids with Powers – A short music video of various clips of children in Disney films that have powers.

* “The Eyes Have It” – An exciting short featuring Donald Duck and Pluto, as Donald learns hypnotism and his test subject is Pluto.

* Lost Treasure: Christopher Lee: The Lost Interview – An interview with Christopher Lee done befriend in 1978 with a Spanish television network. Lee talks about working on the film and his experience for a Disney film. Subtitled in English.

* 1978 Disney Studio Album – A short musical featurette featuring stills from all films that were shown in 1978.

* Audio Commentary – Commentary by John Hough, Ike Eisenmann and Kim Richards.

JUDGMENT CALL:

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by “RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN”. Mainly because you have legendary actress Betty Davis and Christopher Lee (known for his work in the past with the Vampire and Fu Manchu films and presently with his work as Count Dooku in the “Star Wars” films) . But it was gigantic to contemplate them out of their typical film element and playing a silly duo, Letha obsessed with money and Victor obsessed with the power and prestige he can catch from utilizing Tony for his gain crooked means.

But many people wanted a sequel and this time, the series would managed to pick an action film with an a promenade scene and even more special features than the first film. Definitely something you wouldn’t imagine seeing in a family film but John Hough wanted to beget clear the film was different from the first and if he could, invent it even better.

One thing that I liked was that both Tony and Tina are nearly at the same level in their powers. In the first film, it seemed like the only contrivance Tony could utilize his powers was playing a harmonica. But jubilant they didn’t do that for this film.

I enjoyed the first film for its cat and mouse type of storyline, it was a pure film that is fun for the family and kids. With “RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN”, because more special effects were primitive and more action scenes, it was spicy to leer both Tony and Tia separated but most of all, watching them go against each other utilizing their supernatural abilities.

Speaking of special effects, the first film utilized a cat and a have. “RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN” utilized Albert the goat and it’s fantastic how trainers were able to win a goat to promenade through the middle on top of several cars. Very impressive.

Now, for those who fill the 2003 DVD release of “RETURN TO WITCH MOUNTAIN”, you may not need this DVD because there really is no major addition in terms of special features but for those who are looking forward to watching Dwayne Johnson in “Accelerate TO WITCH MOUNTAIN” in 2009 and have never watched the new films or its been too long since you have last seen it, then definitely acquire up both classic Witch Mountain films. They’re both fun and palatable in their possess separate design.

As for “Rush TO WITCH MOUNTAIN”, both “Race TO WITCH MOUNTAIN” and “RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN” both arrive with a free designate coupon (attached to the slipcase camouflage) to download a certificate (label) in order to notice the latest film at a participating theater for free.

Overall, “RETURN TO WITCH MOUNTAIN” is a fun and delectable film and despite being nearly 35 years primitive, it’s a film that families can peruse with their children now and unexcited be entertained.

Definitely a Disney classic worth having in your DVD library.

This is the 1978 sequel to Disney’s 1975 science-fiction-adventure movie, Rush to Witch Mountain Special Edition. In the first movie, we met Tony and Tia Malone, two orphans with unbelievable abilities, like telepathy and telekinesis. It turned out that the siblings were aliens, whose spaceship had crashed, but they are reunited, by the kill of the movie, with their uncle.

In the sequel, Tony and Tia are brought to Pasadena so that they can find a chance to view how people live on Earth. This goes badly glorious fast, thanks to an immoral scientist, who is experimenting with a mind control contrivance when he sees Tony beget one of his fabulous acts, and decides he can became even more well-known if he can control Tony’s mind. The imperfect scientist’s wealthy patroness sees Tony as a potential goldmine.

Meanwhile, Tia loses contact with Tony, visually and telepathically, and tries to salvage him. She is helped by a street-gang of boys who are nice but not nearly as tough and mean as they want people to possess they are. She does not rep powerful success and ends up pitted against her mind-controlled brother. Along the diagram, a big-hearted but inept truancy officer and a goat manage to encourage the alien siblings survive and try to earn each other.

The first Witch Mountain movie featured tantalizing child actors, an animated premise, and some action, but extinct dialogue and unimpressive special effects. Three years later, after the world had seen the startling spectacle of the first Star Wars movie, the sequel not only showed no improvement, but I peep it as a weaker movie than its predecessor. Why?

In the first film, Kim Richards (as Tia) and Ike Eisenmann (as Tony) sounded like they were reading lines read by someone who had never spoken with a child. In the sequel, Ike Eisenmann fares somewhat better, sounding a bit more natural, but Kim Richards has line after line of “Who the heck wrote that?!” lines. The gang of boys who befriend her also work off a abominable script, although Christian Juttner (as Dazzler) manages to overcome his lines to advance off okay.

To accompany the child-actors, we have a trio of villains, with two of the roles played by accomplished actors. Christopher Lee portrays Victor, the horrible scientist zigzag on academic fame and glory through ruthless research. Bette Davis portrays Letha, Victor’s not-very-bright but very greedy patroness, out to accept rich on Victor’s research, at the expense of Tony. Both Mr. Lee and Ms. Davis are given lines to sigh that are exactly what you would demand their characters to say. Anthony James, Letha’s nephew and Victor’s inept flunkie.

Given the level reached by special effects when this movie was made, the effects in Return From Witch Mountain are disappointing. In the bonus features, they justify how they weak strings and cranes to do the telekinesis and levitation effects. While you do not survey any of the strings or cranes, I judge that it is determined that process in enact included them. The levitation in no contrivance resembles flight or any natural movement. The levitation effects in the Harry Potter films were definitely better.

The film also has a credibility yell at times. Suspending disbelief regarding aliens with paranormal abilities is one thing, but it is another thing altogether to inquire of that a flying saucer could soar in and out of the Rose Bowl, twice, with no one seeing it. And, there is a scene, early in the movie, where Tony displays his telekinetic powers on a public street, and there is no one around, except the two villains, to gawk the act. Plus, no one is there to gape a child being abducted, in expansive daylight?

With the sequel, we again have spirited child actors in a movie with an entertaining premise — two alien children with paranormal abilities trying to experience everyday life on Earth — and plenty of action. However, we again also have a script with stilted dialogue for all of the children, or sub-par special effects. This movie unbiased doesn’t work for me.

Oh, except for Alfred the goat! Alfred does his every scene very smoothly, and gives the most credible performance in the movie.

I received this movie, free from Disney, in exchange for an unbiased review.
